Credits Overview
AppsAI uses a credit-based system. You add credits to your account and use them as you build. Only pay for what you use.
How Credits Work
Add credits to your account
Go to Settings → Billing and add funds via credit card. Credits are added instantly.
Use credits as you build
AI operations, deployments, and infrastructure usage deduct from your balance.
Track your usage
View your credit history and usage breakdown in the billing dashboard.
What Uses Credits
AI Generation
Using the chat to generate code, components, and features. Cost varies by model and complexity.
Deployment
Deploying your frontend and backend to production. Small fee per deployment.
Infrastructure
Storage, compute, and other cloud services. Billed based on actual usage.
Database
Database hosting on MongoDB Atlas. Based on cluster tier and storage.
Free Operations
These operations don't use credits:
- Reading and browsing files
- Previewing your app
- Managing projects (create, delete, list)
- Viewing settings and documentation
Checking Your Balance
View your current balance and usage history:
- 1. Click on your profile icon in the top right
- 2. Select Settings
- 3. Go to the Billing tab
Here you'll see your current balance, recent transactions, and usage breakdown by category.
Low Balance
When your balance gets low, you'll see a warning. If your balance reaches zero, services will be paused. Infrastructure stacks are deleted to stop costs (but CloudFormation templates are preserved so you can redeploy later). Add credits to restore services.
